Cape Cod, Day 2...
On Saturday we woke and had a wonderful pancake breakfast at The Pancake Man. It was yummy! After getting our share of salt water taffy and candy at the candy shop, we headed to find a local arts festival. The weather was perfect. Sunny and probably in the high 70s/low 80s. The arts festival was great! There were lots of different pieces, including oil and watercolor paintings, wood working, pottery and glass blowing.
That evening, Alyssa, Shelly, Jason and I went to Mike and Amy's wedding while Wendy took care of Evan. The wedding was beautiful and not many had a dry eye in the church (with the exception of Jason and Shelly!). The reception was held at a wonderful restaurant with a beautiful view...Here is the happy couple enjoying their first dance...The sunset was absolutely gorgeous! I'm a sucker for sunsets, so I could not get enough...They had a great idea where the father of the bride and father of the groom got on the dance floor, although they had no idea why. Turns out they had to participate in a twist-off! Both dads were great sports and had fun twisting. Not sure who won, as they both got down...Here are Shelly, Amy, Mike, Jen, and Alyssa at the wedding...And here are Jason, Jen, Shelly, and Alyssa...When we returned to the hotel that evening, Wendy informed us that Evan proceeded to have a poopie blow-out, up his back and all! That's my boy! Other than that, Aunt Wendy and Evan really enjoyed their time together. We are really thankful that Wendy could come and help us with Evan. We could not have done it without you and had a great time spending time together. Thanks!
The Cape, Day 3 to follow soon (I promise, more pictures of Evan on Day 3!)...
