Gravelly Point

When Daddy flew back from New Hampshire this afternoon, Mommy thought it would be nice to have a picnic at Gravelly Point and see the planes take off from Reagan National Airport. Gravelly Point is right next to the airport and when the planes take off, they go right over this park. Lots of people have picnics there and enjoy the planes swooping into the sky.

Here was Evan waiting for Daddy in the cell phone waiting lot...

I see it!

You can see the plane coming off the runway...

Just into the air...

There it goes...

And away it flies...

Sometimes this was Evan's reaction when the planes were just overhead (they were really close, big, and loud!)...

All in all Evan (and Mommy and Daddy) thought this was really neat. Evan kept asking to go back and see more planes!
