Happy Easter!

This was Evan's second Easter weekend and he had a lot of fun! Kisses anyone?! Aunt Wendy came to visit from Cincinnati and everyone likes it when she visits. This weekend consisted of a lot of NCAA basketball watching (darn those Hoosiers!), a lot of jelly bean eating, and tons of laughter! On Easter morning, after Evan had his usual breakfast, we took him out of his highchair and let him play. We totally forgot that the Easter bunny had left Evan a basket in the dining room. He immediately went towards it and started rifling through his gifts. Oooh, a puppet! Evan loved the plastic eggs filled with goodies. He always has one in his hand!
Looking spiffy for church...He did great at the service. Evan really liked the trumpets playing at the alter and all the music. He read some of his Easter books and kept staring at the cute little girl in the row in front of us.

After church, we came back home to start cooking our Easter feast. Around this time we noticed Evan's eyes were getting watery, red, and had a little discharge. We knew he wasn't feeling well, as both Jason and I are battling yet another cold. Of course Evan got it. Well, after his 3+ hour nap yesterday afternoon, we saw that his eyes had a ton of crusty gunk on them. Probably his first bout of conjunctivitis (aka "pink eye"). We were right. Mommy took Evan to his pediatrician this morning and he has a slew of infections right now. Pink eye is one. She listened to his breathing and of course he has wheezing (RSV is not fun and persists until he's 2-3 years old). Top that all off with a double ear infection! We didn't even realize he had an ear infection. Poor baby! So he's back on breathing treatments, gets eye drops in both eyes, and is on antibiotics for his ears. Evan looks so sad because his eyes are really red, pussy, and watery. You just want to squeeze him and take all his sickness away.

Since he took such a long nap yesterday, we postponed the Easter egg hunt until today. This afternoon we hid the eggs downstairs and Evan went right for them. He loved the hunt!

Even better when there's Cheerios hiding in the eggs!

Daisy wants one!

There were some deer outside the back of our home today. One was really close to the fence bordering the state park and our property...

I love these deer!

Right now Evan's trying to take a nap. Poor fellow...he keeps coughing and coughing. Ugh, I hope he gets better soon!

Oh my goodness, poor evan being so sick! (And mommy and daddy too!) : ( I'm driving John insane because every day I'm worried Miles has an ear infection. I missed one when I nannied for a family (and they got really mad at me) so I have this crazy fear of ear infections now. (Because they are hard to detect!) hope he gets well soon.

You guys did a great job on his easter basket. Poor Miles just had plastic eggs! He carries one around all the time too. Miles is finally walking now, so our boys would really have fun together now!

Happy Easter! Miss ya!
